Burgenland
Burgenland is Austria's easternmost federal state and its lowest-lying one. Its highest point, the Geschriebenstein, reaches 884 m on the border with Vas County in Hungary. Winter sport in the state runs on three club-operated ski slopes rather than commercial cable car resorts.
