Cross-Country Skiing

Cross-country skiing, known in Austria as Langlauf, is practised on groomed trails for classic and skating technique. Networks are run by municipalities and tourist boards, and several regions charge a trail ticket. Trail altitudes range from valley floors near 900 m to glacier routes at 2,700 m.
