Obertauern Ski Pass: Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a week of skiing?
The Obertauern Ski Pass is priced per duration rather than as a flat weekly rate, and the 2026/27 adult day ticket was listed at EUR 72.00 on 15 September 2026, with multi-day tickets cheaper per day. Prices are published by the lift association's shop, and a mixed price applies when a stay straddles low and high season dates.
Where else is it valid?
From 1.5 days upwards the Obertauern Ski Pass is also accepted at Grosseck-Speiereck in Mauterndorf, roughly 15 km away. The separate LUNGO product widens that to four areas: Obertauern, Speiereck, Fanningberg and Katschberg. Season Winter Cards are additionally available through the Salzburg Super Ski Card pool.
Do small children need a ticket for ski school?
Yes, in most cases. The Obertauern Ski Pass rules state that course participants need a valid pass, and children born in 2011 or later must hold a pass or point card. Children under six get a free pass while training with the local schools CSA, Top, Koch, Frau Holle and Krallinger.
How does it compare with a Ski amade pass?
The Obertauern Ski Pass covers one basin of about 100 km of piste plus Speiereck, while Ski amade sells access to a much larger multi-region network. The trade-off is compactness and snow depth against sheer piste mileage, and the two products are not interchangeable.
Can a tour group get a discount?
Group pricing on the Obertauern Ski Pass starts at 20 adults or youths buying identical tickets at the same time, with every 21st ticket free for a guide. For validity of four days or more the organiser must obtain written price confirmation from the Liftgemeinschaft Obertauern before arrival.
