Skischule Zürs: Frequently Asked Questions
Why book in Zürs rather than Lech?
Skischule Zürs is the village school for guests staying in Zürs, so classes start on the doorstep instead of after a bus ride down to Lech. Zürs is small, which keeps groups and lift queues shorter than in the larger villages.
How old is ski teaching in the village?
The Lech Zürs tourism board dates the first ski lesson in Zürs to 1906, and Austria's first ski lift was built in the same village, so Skischule Zürs teaches on the terrain where Alpine ski instruction began.
Are children's courses available?
Yes. The Lech Zürs school listings, including Skischule Zürs, cover group courses, private tuition and programmes tailored for children. Capacity is smaller than in Lech or St. Anton, so book children's places well ahead of Christmas and February.
Where do I find the price list?
Prices for Skischule Zürs are published through the Lech Zürs tourism board, which carried a 2025/26 season list when checked in September 2026. Verify the current season's rates with the school before transferring a deposit.
Is it suitable for off-piste days?
Skischule Zürs sits at the Flexen end of Ski Arlberg, with quick access to the Lech Zürs sector for guided off-piste and touring. Discuss avalanche conditions and the planned descent with the instructor on the morning of the booking.
