Sport RIML: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I pick up skis on the mountain in Sölden?
Sport RIML runs a two-floor shop at the Giggijoch top station at 2,283 metres, with further outlets at the Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers, so you can ride up empty-handed.
How big is the ski depot?
The Giggijoch top station basement holds 500 storage places, and Sport RIML applies a 20 percent discount there for its own rental customers when the depot is booked on site.
Is booking online cheaper?
Yes for the gear: Sport RIML lists up to 15 percent off skis and snowboards booked online, though the on-site storage discounts are not applied to online depot bookings.
Can I return equipment at a different shop?
Returns and free swaps work across five Sport RIML shops and at Sporthütte Fiegl, which is useful if snow conditions change mid-week.
What if I want to buy the skis I rented?
Sport RIML credits one test day against the purchase price, so a day spent testing a model costs nothing if you then buy it.
