Sportshop Gloria Obertauern: Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Sportshop Gloria Obertauern located?

Sportshop Gloria Obertauern is at Römerstraße 50 in the centre of the village, in the same building as Pension Gloria. Opening hours are 08:30 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00 daily, with a midday break that catches people out.

Can you change skis after trying them?

Yes. Sportshop Gloria Obertauern allows test skis to be exchanged at two stations at no extra charge, which is useful if the first pair feels too stiff or too short.

Which brands does it carry?

Sportshop Gloria Obertauern lists Kjus, Toni Sailer, Patagonia, Mico, Scott, Salomon and Atomic among its stocked labels, so the mix leans towards premium clothing and mainstream ski hardware.

Is the shop open all year?

No. Sportshop Gloria Obertauern went into its summer break on 19 April 2026 and states a November reopening, in line with the village calendar, so late-spring visitors should check before travelling.

How does it compare with the larger chains?

Sportshop Gloria Obertauern runs fewer counters than Freudenhaus or Skiworld and publishes less discount detail, but it offers personal fitting from an owner-operated team and sits directly in the centre.
