Lakes

Austria has more than 25,000 standing waters, from 169 m deep alpine basins in the Salzkammergut to the sub-2 m steppe lake in Burgenland. Bathing sites are monitored each season under EU Directive 2006/7/EC. This hub covers swimming, boating and access for the main lakes.
