Best Nightlife in Sölden: Bars and Clubs Ranked
As of September 2026, Sölden's nightlife runs along one street. Katapult is the village's largest club, opening at 16:00 and running into the early hours, while Fire & Ice lists 400 indoor seats and daily hours of 14:00 to 02:00. Philipp, Marco's and Halli Valli cover the 15:00 apres shift, Bierhimml and Live Bar handle the quieter hours, and Electric Mountain Festival peaks each April.
Best Nightlife in Sölden: Bars and Clubs Ranked, ranked
Katapult
Katapult's own listing calls it the largest club in Sölden, and it opens at 16:00 for apres before turning into a club that runs into the early hours. The programme changes daily and covers EDM, house, tech house, hip hop and rock, with international guest acts. Two side rooms matter: the top-floor Kristall-Lounge and an ice bar cut off from the main floor by a sound-deadening curtain.
Best for: Late-night clubbing
Official website See full factsFire & Ice
Fire & Ice publishes the clearest numbers of any venue in the village: Dorfstraße 58, 400 indoor seats, and daily hours of 14:00 to 02:00 across a listed season of 22 October 2026 to 18 April 2027. Live apres-ski acts land on Sundays and Tuesdays, and the music runs from apres hits through chart music to house. It is the reliable fallback when Katapult's programme does not suit.
Best for: Apres hits until 02:00
Official website See full factsPhilipp
Philipp is the strongest slope-side option. DJ sets start at 15:00, deliberately timed for the end of ski school, and TROPIC Rumble runs Thursdays and Sundays. Access is from piste 7, or pistes 8 and 10, with a direct descent to Gaislachkoglbahn I afterwards. Food covers soups, salads, snacks and main courses through the day, and the operator also runs apartments on site, so the walk home can be short.
Best for: Ski-in afternoon party
Official website See full factsMarco's
Marco's is the centre-of-village bar you can ski into from the Giggijoch run, open daily from 10:00 as a bar, cafe and grill. The fold-down roof and heated open-air section extend the terrace hours in cold weather, and sport broadcasts pull a different crowd from the dance floors. It is not a late venue, which is precisely why it works for a mid-afternoon stop or a quieter first drink.
Visitor note (Google Maps) "Price is 11€ for a frozen pizza and 18€ for a frozen Wiener Schnitzel."
Best for: Sun terrace and sport
Official website See full factsBierhimml
Bierhimml sits at Dorfstraße 9 and is listed as disco, apres-ski bar, bar and club at once. Brothers Armin and Willi Riml brought the name back after the large-format Partyhouse closed, returning to a beer pub on the entrance level plus a Tyrolean inn style floor above. The draw is the beer range and the house Himmelbier rather than a headline DJ, and its Facebook page shows 94 percent recommendation from 54 reviews.
Best for: Beer-led party night
See full factsHalli Valli
Halli Valli belongs to the four-star Hotel Valentin at Dorfstraße 109, next to the Gaislachkoglbahn, which makes it the first bar you reach off that gondola. Hours are tight: 15:00 to 18:30 daily, with Austrian apres hits and DJs across the 15:00 to 18:00 stretch. The listed 2025/26 season ran 22 November 2025 to 19 April 2026. Treat it as a one-drink stop, not the night itself.
Visitor note (Google Maps) "No long waiting times and a very good selection."
Best for: First stop off the gondola
See full factsLive Bar
Live Bar is the small central alternative for anyone tired of apres playlists. The resort directory lists it for live music and open stage sessions, guest Wi-Fi and a non-smoking policy, and it is categorised as a bar rather than a club. Capacity is far below Fire & Ice's 400 indoor seats, so it fills quickly on band nights, but it is the only listed Sölden venue built around live players rather than DJs.
Best for: Live music, no DJ
Official website See full factsHow does a night out in Sölden actually work?
Sölden splits the evening into two shifts. The first runs on the slope and at the lift bases: Philipp starts its DJ sets at 15:00, timed to the end of ski school, and Halli Valli at Dorfstraße 109 opens at 15:00 and closes at 18:30. Marco's, which you can enter on skis from the Giggijoch run, has been open since 10:00 by that point.
The second shift is the village. Fire & Ice at Dorfstraße 58 runs 14:00 to 02:00 daily, and Katapult opens at 16:00 and keeps going into the early hours. Because the main venues sit on one street, moving between shifts is a walk of minutes, not a taxi ride.
Which venues stay open the latest?
Two addresses carry the late hours. Fire & Ice publishes a 14:00 to 02:00 window seven days a week, with a listed 2026/27 season of 22 October 2026 to 18 April 2027. Katapult, described in its own listing as the largest club in Sölden, opens at 16:00 and advertises parties until the early morning, with a different programme each day.
Everything else closes earlier. Halli Valli stops at 18:30. Philipp's afternoon party winds down as the pistes close. If you want a 01:00 dance floor, plan to end at Fire & Ice or Katapult, and treat the apres venues as the warm-up rather than the destination.
How do you plan one evening across the village?
Start on the slope by 15:00
Ski down to Philipp, which is reached from piste 7 or from pistes 8 and 10. DJ sets start at 15:00 and Thursdays and Sundays add the TROPIC Rumble theme night. From there you can continue on snow to Gaislachkoglbahn I rather than walking.
Take the 17:00 to 18:30 window at a lift base
Halli Valli sits beside the Gaislachkoglbahn at Dorfstraße 109 and runs 15:00 to 18:30 with Austrian apres hits. Marco's, in the centre, has a heated open-air area and shows sport, so it works if you want a slower hour before dinner.
Eat, change out of ski boots, then return to Dorfstraße
Bierhimml at Dorfstraße 9 has a beer pub on the entrance level and a Tyrolean inn style floor above, with its own Himmelbier. Live Bar in the centre programmes live music and open stage sessions and is listed as non-smoking.
Finish at a club with a 02:00 licence
Fire & Ice has 400 indoor seats and live apres acts on Sundays and Tuesdays. Katapult adds the top-floor Kristall-Lounge and an ice bar separated by a sound-deadening curtain, which is where groups go when the main floor gets loud.
Which events change the party calendar?
April is the peak. The Electric Mountain Festival staged its 13th edition from 13 to 18 April 2026 at the Funzone on Giggijoch, with names including Dimitri Vegas, James Hype, Lost Frequencies and Mattn. The next edition is listed for 12 to 17 April 2027. Earlier editions drew Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Don Diablo.
Season length matters too. Fire & Ice lists a winter run from 22 October 2026 to 18 April 2027, so the village has club nights weeks before most Austrian resorts open their valley lifts. Halli Valli's 2025/26 listing ran 22 November 2025 to 19 April 2026, which is closer to the normal village pattern.
What do visitors get wrong about Sölden nightlife?
The first mistake is assuming apres bars are clubs. Halli Valli closes at 18:30 and Philipp is a piste-side restaurant, so neither replaces a late venue. The second is skipping the gap: between 18:30 and roughly 22:00 the village is quiet, and that is the window for dinner rather than for queueing.
The third is ski boots. Marco's and Philipp are built for them, but a night that ends at 02:00 in a club is easier in shoes. The fourth is geography. Fire & Ice is at Dorfstraße 58 and Bierhimml at Dorfstraße 9, so almost everything clusters on one road, which makes a booked hotel off Dorfstraße a longer walk home than people expect.
Where else in Austria competes with Sölden after dark?
Sölden's rivals are the other single-street party resorts. St. Anton am Arlberg and Ischgl both concentrate venues within walking distance of the main lift, as do Mayrhofen and Saalbach Hinterglemm. Our comparison pages for Sölden vs Ischgl and Sölden vs St. Anton set out the skiing side of that choice.
Where Sölden differs is the calendar and the room count. Fire & Ice alone lists 400 indoor seats, Katapult is the village's largest club, and the season on those listings starts in late October 2026 and closes in mid-April 2027. Resorts without glacier skiing generally cannot sell an October club night at all.
