Best Ski amadé Day Pass Areas for 2026/27

As of September 2026, a Ski amadé day pass is not a network pass: tickets valid up to one day work only in the ski area that sold them, while two days or more open all 760 km and 25 resorts. Snow Space Salzburg gives the widest single-day footprint (210 km), Schladming-Dachstein the clearest published price (EUR 81.50 at the counter in 2025/26).

Best Ski amadé Day Pass Areas for 2026/27, ranked

1.

Snow Space Salzburg

One day ticket covers Flachau, Wagrain and St. Johann-Alpendorf plus Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl, Zauchensee, Radstadt and Altenmarkt. The core villages hold 120 km of piste, rising to 210 km and about 70 lifts once the Panorama Link gondola is included. Seven signed entry points with parking spread the morning rush, and the drive from Salzburg city takes roughly 50 minutes. Toddlers born 2021 or later ride free on a photo-linked ticket.

Best for: Widest single-day coverage

2.

Schladming-Dachstein

A single day pass opens Planai, Hochwurzen, Hauser Kaibling, Reiteralm, Fageralm, Galsterberg and Ramsau am Dachstein, with 123 km and 44 lifts on the four linked mountains alone. The 2025/26 counter rate was EUR 81.50 adult, EUR 61.00 youth and EUR 41.00 child, with online early booking from EUR 69.50. The same ticket admits holders to the Dachstein Glacier, and regional ski buses are free.

Best for: Best published day rate

3.

Skigastein

Day tickets cover Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel, Sportgastein and Graukogel, three mountains connected by bus rather than lift. Graukogel carries its own cheaper day rate, and hour tickets start when the lifts open at 8.30 a.m. Gasteiner Bergbahnen AG planned ski operation from 28 November 2025 to 1 May 2026, one of the longer windows in the group, with the Angertal practice area running from 6 December 2025.

Best for: Long season and flexible hours

4.

Großarltal

Großarltal publishes winter 2026/27 rates well ahead of the season, spanning pedestrian tickets, multi-hour passes, day tickets, multi-day tickets and season passes. Counter prices stay fixed while online prices move with demand, so the desk is a useful ceiling when the dynamic curve spikes. Day validity remains regional: crossing to Schladming or Gastein on the same card needs at least a two-day ticket.

Best for: Earliest published prices

5.

Filzmoos

Filzmoos is the budget end of the day-ticket market. Children accompanied by an adult ski free, with a paid Minicard needed only for the Bögrainlift and Rettenegglift when a child rides alone or joins a ski course. Keycards carry a EUR 3.00 deposit. The village also lists the network loyalty bonus of EUR 100 for adults, EUR 50 for U25 and EUR 30 for youths and children on season pass renewals.

Best for: Cheapest family day out

What does a Ski amadé day pass actually cover?

The single rule that catches most visitors: a ticket valid for up to one day is limited to the ski area that issued it. Passes of two days or more are valid on every member lift, which means 25 resorts, five regions and up to 760 km of piste on one keycard. Ski amadé states this split on its own ticket pages, and each member area sets its own day rate rather than following a central tariff.

Coverage per day ticket still varies a lot. In Schladming the day pass opens seven mountains, from Planai and Hauser Kaibling to Galsterberg and Ramsau am Dachstein. In Snow Space Salzburg it stretches across Flachau, Wagrain, St. Johann, Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl, Zauchensee, Radstadt and Altenmarkt. In Gastein it covers Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel, Sportgastein and Graukogel. The five regions are Schladming-Dachstein, Salzburger Sportwelt, Gastein, Hochkönig and Großarltal.

How much does a day pass cost this winter?

Published numbers are the safest anchor. For 2025/26 the Planai lift company listed an adult day pass at EUR 81.50 at the ticket office, EUR 61.00 for youths and EUR 41.00 for children, with online early booking prices from EUR 69.50, EUR 52.00 and EUR 34.50 respectively. Großarltal has already posted its winter 2026/27 tariff, while Ski amadé notes on its day ticket page that full 2026/27 prices and details will follow.

Two pricing systems run in parallel. Counter prices are fixed for the season. Online prices are dynamic and move with season period, purchase date and demand, which is why day and multi-day tickets went on sale as early as 31 August. Gastein quotes savings of up to 15% for early online buyers. A cancellation guarantee can be added at checkout for EUR 3.00 per day and ski pass, and it cannot be bought afterwards.

How do you buy a Ski amadé day pass online?

  1. Pick the ski area, not the network

Choose the specific area first, because a day ticket only works there. Snow Space Salzburg, the Schladming-Dachstein mountains and Skigastein each run their own shop, and each shop shows its own rate card. If the plan involves two different regions on two days, stop here and price a two-day network ticket instead.

  2. Select the exact date

Online prices in Ski amadé are date-based. The same Saturday in February will cost more than a pre-Christmas Tuesday, and the price for any given date tends to rise as that date approaches. Passes went on sale on 31 August for the following winter, which is the earliest point to lock a low rate.

  3. Add the cancellation guarantee if the plan is fragile

It costs EUR 3.00 per day and ski pass and must be selected during the order. Skipping it means a bought date cannot be refunded later.

  4. Sort the keycard

A keycard carries a EUR 3.00 deposit, refunded on return. Existing cards can be topped up online, which skips the ticket window entirely. Photo identification is required for tickets running 8 to 18 days, and free Minicards for toddlers are issued at the lift offices against photo and ID.

  5. Check local discounts before paying

Some savings exist only offline. ÖBB Vorteilscard holders received about 15% off 1-day passes from 6 December 2025 at the Snow Space Salzburg cash desks in Flachau, Wagrain and St. Johann, not in the web shop. The free Friends Club card adds further lift pass benefits and vouchers.

When is a multi-day pass better value than day tickets?

The break-even arrives fast. From the second day, the ticket automatically becomes the Ski amadé pass valid across all five regions, roughly 760 km of slopes and 260 to 270 lifts. Two separate day tickets in two different areas cost about the same as one two-day network pass and deliver far less choice, so buying two singles only makes sense if the days are weeks apart.

Multi-day tickets run up to 18 days, with photo identification required from 8 days. Frequent visitors move up again: the ALL-IN Card White covers the winter (11 October 2025 to 3 May 2026 in the 2025/26 version), and the SuperSkiCard reaches 2,815 km across 22 ski regions. Ski amadé also grants a loyalty bonus toward the next ALL-IN Card for anyone who held one in 2024/25 or 2025/26.

What mistakes do first-time buyers make?

Mistake one is assuming the day ticket is a network ticket. It is not: a Gastein day pass will not work on the Planai, and staff cannot upgrade it retrospectively on the mountain. Mistake two is buying at the window on a peak Saturday, when the fixed counter rate (EUR 81.50 adult in Schladming for 2025/26) is the ceiling rather than a bargain.

Mistake three concerns children. Rules differ by area: in Filzmoos accompanied children ski free, but the Bögrainlift and Rettenegglift still need a paid Minicard when a child rides alone or takes a ski course, and Shuttleberg Flachauwinkl-Kleinarl requires a paid Minicard outright. Mistake four is sharing: every pass is personal and non-transferable. Mistake five is skipping the EUR 3.00 cancellation guarantee on a weather-dependent single date.

Which alternatives make sense outside a day ticket?

Short sessions now have their own products. Skigastein sells hour tickets from the 8.30 a.m. lift opening and a cheaper day ticket valid only on the Graukogel. Großarltal lists multi-hour passes and pedestrian tickets beside its day rate. In the Snow Space Salzburg catchment, monte popolo Eben and Radstadt-Altenmarkt accept the regional day ticket but also sell their own lower-priced range, which is the cheaper route for a beginner afternoon.

For wider touring, the comparison is the SuperSkiCard at 2,815 km in 22 regions against the 760 km inside the network. For families staying put, a small area beats a big one on cost: free child skiing in Filzmoos removes most of the bill, while Snow Space Salzburg charges child rates for those born 2011 to 2020 and runs reduced family day tickets in season.
