Best Ski amadé Voucher Options in Austria

By Best:in Editorial Team · Updated September 2026

A Ski amadé voucher is prepaid credit, not a ski pass. In September 2026 the network-wide value voucher at gutscheine.skiamade.com ranks first: the buyer sets the amount and picks Print@Home or a posted gift card. Regional shops such as Snow Space Salzburg sell fixed steps of EUR 25 to EUR 200, and some regional vouchers, including Zauchensee and Schladming-Dachstein, only work inside their own area.

Best Ski amadé Voucher Options in Austria, ranked

1.

Ski amadé Value Voucher

The network-wide Wertgutschein is the default choice. The buyer sets the amount instead of picking a fixed step, then chooses Print@Home or a gift card by post, so a 23 December order still lands the same evening. Credit works across the Ski amadé regions behind the advertised 760 km of pistes and 260 lifts, and the remaining balance is checked by entering the barcode from the voucher or the card.

Best for: Open-dated gifts across all Ski amadé regions

2.

Snow Space Salzburg Gift Voucher

Snow Space Salzburg covers Flachau, Wagrain and St. Johann-Alpendorf, and its shop lists vouchers at EUR 25, EUR 50, EUR 100 and EUR 200, with values up to EUR 800 available in the Ski amadé ticket shop. Print@Home or postal delivery both apply, and the same shop sells summer lift products such as the Starjet, Flying Mozart and Geisterberg tickets, so the credit is not stranded if the recipient skips winter.

Best for: Fixed-value gifts for the Salzburger Sportwelt side

3.

Skiparadies Zauchensee Value Voucher

Zauchensee runs the clearest split between regional and network credit: its shop sells value vouchers for Zauchensee and Radstadt-Altenmarkt, vouchers for all of Ski amadé, and separate event and experience vouchers. Regional credit is redeemable online, at the lift desks in Zauchensee, at Flachauwinkl (Highport), on the Radstadt-Altenmarkt ski shuttle and in Zauchensee gastronomy. Codes are added under Online-Guthaben and can cover part of an order.

Best for: Locals who ski Zauchensee and Flachauwinkl

4.

Schladming-Dachstein Voucher

This is a tourism-board voucher rather than a lift-company one. Schladming-Dachstein Tourismus GmbH issues it, and the terms restrict redemption to current partner businesses, defined as mountain railways and accommodation providers, which makes it the strongest option when the gift should stretch to a hotel night. Payment is by credit card or bank transfer, vouchers become valid only on full payment, cash exchange is excluded and no VAT is charged.

Best for: Gifts that should also cover accommodation

5.

Gastein Ski amadé Voucher

Gastein has its own storefront in the Ski amadé voucher system, with the same free amount choice and Print@Home or postal gift card. Redemption runs through the Gasteiner Bergbahnen shop at skigastein.skiperformance.com, which required a new registration when the Skisparen 2023 prepurchase model moved onto it. That campaign sold Gold, Silver and Bronze packages until 30 April 2023 and returned credit in five annual instalments with a 15 percent premium.

Best for: Bad Gastein, Bad Hofgastein and Dorfgastein trips

6.

Hochkönig Ski amadé Voucher

The Hochkönig storefront sells the same Print@Home voucher under the region's branding, which suits gifts aimed at Maria Alm, Dienten and Mühlbach. Hochkönig also publishes the clearest note on what the online early-booker bonus excludes: the Ski amadé ALL-IN Card White, Gold and Green and the SuperSkiCard. Pair the voucher with a dated pass booked early, since contingents at the lowest price run out at different points each season.

Best for: Hochkönig gifts combined with early-booked passes

What is a Ski amadé voucher, exactly?

A Ski amadé voucher is a Wertgutschein: prepaid credit that the recipient later exchanges for lift tickets or other services. It is sold in the Ski amadé voucher shop, where the buyer selects a value and then chooses between Print@Home delivery and a physical gift card sent by post. The credit is not tied to a fixed date, a fixed ski area or a named person at the moment of purchase.

The network behind the credit is large. Ski amadé advertises up to 760 km of groomed pistes and 260 lifts across its member regions, so a voucher bought in one region can, in the network-wide version, end up funding a day in a completely different valley. Remaining value is checked by entering the barcode printed on the voucher or on the back of the gift card.

How much credit should you load onto a voucher?

Two models exist. The central Ski amadé shop lets the buyer type in an amount, which is useful when you want to cover a specific ticket price to the euro. Regional shops mostly work in fixed steps: Snow Space Salzburg lists vouchers of EUR 25, EUR 50, EUR 100 and EUR 200 in its ticket shop, and the Ski amadé ticket shop carries voucher values up to EUR 800 for larger gifts.

Pick the amount against a real plan rather than a round number. Two or three adult days on the slopes plus a hut lunch sits far above EUR 50, while EUR 25 is realistic as a top-up for someone who already holds a season card. If the gift is meant to cover a whole ski week for two, the EUR 200 step, or several stacked vouchers, is the practical route.

How do you redeem a Ski amadé voucher?

  1. Open the right ticket shop account

Redemption happens in the online ticket shop of the region where the voucher is valid, for example zauchensee.skiperformance.com for Zauchensee credit or skigastein.skiperformance.com for the Gasteiner Bergbahnen shop. The Gastein shop required a fresh registration when the Skisparen model moved onto it in 2023, so an old login from another Ski amadé region may not carry over. Create the account before the travel day, not in the lift queue.

  2. Add the voucher code as online credit

In the Zauchensee shop a value voucher is added under Online-Guthaben in the customer account, or during the final checkout step under the online credit and voucher field. The code then behaves like a balance rather than a one-shot coupon, which matters if the ticket costs more than the voucher value.

  3. Pay all or part of the ticket with the balance

The credit can settle a purchase in full or in part, with the remainder paid by card. That is why a EUR 100 voucher still works against a multi-day pass that costs more, and why a EUR 200 voucher can be split across two separate orders in the same winter.

  4. Or use it at the lift desk and in partner businesses

Printed vouchers are also accepted offline. Zauchensee value vouchers are redeemable at the lift ticket desks in Zauchensee, at Flachauwinkl (Highport), on the Radstadt-Altenmarkt ski shuttle area and in Zauchensee gastronomy outlets. Schladming-Dachstein vouchers, by contrast, are only redeemable with current partner businesses, which the terms define as mountain railways and accommodation providers.

  5. Check the leftover balance

After the first redemption, enter the barcode from the voucher or the back of the gift card in the Ski amadé voucher shop to see the current value. Do this before a second trip, because partial redemptions are common and the printed face value no longer tells you what is left.

Voucher or ski pass: which is the better gift?

A voucher keeps dates open, but it does not lock in a price. Ski amadé runs an online early-booker system with limited contingents: the earlier a dated pass is booked, the lower the price, and the contingents run out at different times depending on demand. Someone who already knows their week is usually better off with a booked pass plus a small voucher for extras.

Note the exclusions before you plan around a bonus. Hochkönig states that the Ski amadé ALL-IN Card White, Gold and Green and the SuperSkiCard carry no online early-booker bonus. Season products also have their own windows: the ALL-IN Card Gold 2025/26 terms ran from 11 October 2025 to 9 October 2026, so a card bought as a gift covers a defined 12-month period rather than a calendar year.

Which mistakes make a ski voucher useless?

The first is scope. A Zauchensee value voucher and a Ski amadé value voucher look almost identical in the same web shop, but only the second is written for the whole network. Buying the regional version for a relative who skis in Schladming or Gastein means a trip to Zauchensee or a wasted gift.

The second is expecting cash back. The Schladming-Dachstein terms state that ordered or purchased vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash, that a voucher becomes valid only once the full sum is paid, and that no VAT is charged because the service content is non-assignable at the time of sale. The third mistake is timing the purchase for 24 December and relying on post: Print@Home is the only same-day option, and every shop in the Ski amadé voucher system offers it.

What are the alternatives to a plain value voucher?

If the gift should cover a whole trip, Schladming-Dachstein Tourismus sells vouchers redeemable with accommodation partners as well as mountain railways, plus voucher packages and event tickets in the same shop. That is broader than a lift-only credit, though it is restricted to the region's partner list.

Prepurchase models are the other route. The Gasteiner Bergbahnen Skisparen 2023 offer sold Gold, Silver and Bronze packages until 30 April 2023 and paid the money back as online credit in five annual instalments from May 2023, with a 15 percent premium on the amount invested. Such campaigns are announced per season rather than being permanently available, so check the operator's shop before assuming one is open.

How is this ranking computed?

  • Where the credit is valid: 30%
  • Amount flexibility: 20%
  • Delivery speed and options: 20%
  • Redemption channels beyond lift tickets: 15%
  • Clarity of published terms: 15%
