Best Ski amadé Apps and Digital Tools, Ranked
In September 2026 the official Ski amadé App is the strongest single tool for the network's 25 resorts and up to 760 km of slopes: photo realistic piste maps, live lift and slope status, Friend Tracker and in-app ticket purchase. Skiline turns your ski pass number into vertical metre stats, bergfex adds deeper weather data, and the Online Ticketshop handles passes for the 26/27 season.
Best Ski amadé Apps and Digital Tools, Ranked, ranked
Ski amadé App
The official app from Ski amadé GmbH covers all 25 resorts and five regions on one photo realistic map, with routing between lifts, huts and villages. Live info shows open lifts, open slopes, weather and webcams, and ski passes can be bought inside the app. Friend Tracker places connected family members on the map and routes you to them. Download is free on iOS (App Store ID 481283991) and Android (package at.deepsearch.deep.snow.android).
Best for: Everyday use inside Ski amadé

bergfex is the Austrian weather and ski resort app most locals check before driving to Flachau or Schladming. It records descents automatically with speed, distance and elevation gain, keeps a ski diary, and carries piste maps, snow reports, ticket prices and lift status. The free tier includes nine day forecasts and thousands of webcams. Pro adds six hour snow forecast maps, a seven day snow analysis, an avalanche map and GeoSphere Austria weather texts.
Best for: Weather and snow detail
See full factsSkiline
Skiline reads your ski pass number rather than your phone's GPS, then builds an altitude diagram of the day with vertical metres, lift rides and piste kilometres. It also releases Photopoint pictures, Skimovie race runs and Speedcheck photos that were triggered by the same pass. Terminals in the ski areas print the same diagram for people skiing without a phone. Skiline appears in the Ski amadé services menu as a digital service.
Best for: Ski day stats without GPS drain

tickets.skiamade.com is the network's own sales channel for day, multiday and season passes. Prices move with season, purchase date and demand, so the Online Early Booking Bonus rewards booking early. A cancellation guarantee costs EUR 3.00 per day and pass and allows cancellation up to two days before validity starts. The KeyCard carries a EUR 3.00 deposit payable at the local ticket office, and the ALL-IN Card White 26/27 runs from 10.10.2026 to 02.05.2027.
Best for: Buying the pass before arrival
Official website See full factsSlopes
Slopes is a third party tracking app for iOS, Android, watchOS and Wear OS that detects lifts and runs automatically and logs vertical, speed, distance and run replays. Premium unlocks 3D maps, replays and health stats; the US listing shows USD 29.99 per year with a USD 49.99 family plan, plus single day and trip passes for occasional skiers. It carries no official Ski amadé lift status feed, so pair it with the official app.
Best for: Detailed run-by-run tracking
Official website See full factsSki amadé 3D Ski Panorama
The 3D Ski Panorama is the browser version of the same photo realistic map used in the app, published by Ski amadé GmbH under Live Info. It shows lifts, slopes, huts and webcam positions across the five regions and links straight into ski pass purchase. Nothing needs installing, which suits trip planning on a laptop or a shared family screen before the drive to Salzburg or Styria.
Best for: Planning from home in the browser
Official website See full factsWhat can the Ski amadé App actually do on the mountain?
The app is published by Ski amadé GmbH and covers the whole network: 25 ski resorts in five regions, up to 760 kilometres of slopes and around 260 lift facilities. The core screen is a photo realistic slope map with routing, so you can ask it for the way from a hut in Grossarltal back to a lift in Flachau. Lift and hut information sits on the same map, along with live status for open lifts and open slopes, weather and webcams.
Two features go beyond a normal piste map. Friend Tracker shows connected family members or friends on the map and routes you to them, which matters in a network this size. Ski passes can also be bought inside the app, and the SENSATIONS Challenge rewards QR scans at marked locations with prize draws from partners such as Atomic and Komperdell.
Does the Ski amadé App work without a mobile signal?
Treat it as an online app. App Store reviewers have repeatedly flagged that the app downloads updates at launch, with one review citing roughly 10 MB each start, and that offline use is limited. Ski amadé responded to that feedback publicly on 16 February 2022 and pointed users to [email protected] for detailed reports. Anyone skiing on a roaming data plan should load the map in the valley before the first lift.
There is a practical workaround. Ski amadé lists around 400 free wifi access points across the network, and most gondola stations and huts sit inside that coverage. Open the app at the mid station, refresh the lift status, then ski. If you need a map that is guaranteed offline, carry the paper piste map issued at the ticket office, or use a third party app with downloadable maps.
How do you buy a Ski amadé ski pass digitally for 2026/27?
Check the sales window
Day and multiday tickets for the coming winter go on sale from the start of September, season tickets from the start of October. For 2026/27 that means the shop was already open when this page was checked on 15 September 2026. The ALL-IN Card White 26/27 is valid from 10.10.2026 until 02.05.2027, so buying in autumn covers the full season.
Buy in the Online Ticketshop or in the app
Passes are sold at tickets.skiamade.com and inside the Ski amadé App. Prices are dynamic: they vary by season, time of purchase and demand, and the Online Early Booking Bonus increases the earlier you book. Compare the day rate for your travel dates against a multiday pass before checkout, because short stays and week-long stays price very differently.
Add the cancellation guarantee if plans are loose
The cancellation guarantee costs EUR 3.00 per day and per ski pass, and lets you cancel the whole pass up to two days before validity starts, without giving a reason. It can be added to multiday passes and selected day passes in the Online Ticketshop. On a six day family pass for four people that is EUR 72.00, so weigh it against your travel insurance.
Sort out the KeyCard
The pass is loaded onto a KeyCard with a EUR 3.00 deposit, paid at the local ticket office. Existing customers can reactivate last season's KeyCard, and new cards are shipped postage free for season passes. Keep the ski pass number: Skiline needs it to build your altitude diagram, and Photopoint, Skimovie and Speedcheck media are released with the same number.
Check the child rules
Minis born in 2021 or later ski free across Ski amadé, but they still need a ticket, which is photo and ID dependent and issued only at lift ticket offices. That is one queue you cannot skip online. Bring a passport or ID for each child, and allow 15 to 20 minutes at the counter on a Saturday changeover day.
Ski amadé App or Skiline: which one records your ski day?
They solve different problems. The official app is a live map: open lifts, open slopes, webcams, routing and ticket sales. Skiline is a retrospective record. It reads the ski pass number from your KeyCard, then reconstructs the day as an altitude diagram with vertical metres, lift rides and kilometres of slopes, no GPS and no battery drain involved.
Skiline also acts as the collection point for on-mountain media. Photopoint stills are triggered with the pass, Skimovie films you on a secured race course, and Speedcheck logs top speed on a closed slope. Terminals in the ski areas print the same diagram for people who ski without a phone. One caveat: Skiline deactivates accounts that inflate vertical metres to climb the TOP 100 ranking.
What do these apps cost, and where do you actually pay?
Four of the six tools are free. The Ski amadé App, the 3D Ski Panorama, Skiline and the Online Ticketshop cost nothing to use; the money goes on the ski pass itself. bergfex is free with an optional Pro subscription that unlocks six hour snow forecast maps, seven day snow analysis, an avalanche and slope steepness layer and an ad-free interface. Slopes is the one clearly paid option: the US listing showed USD 29.99 per year and a USD 49.99 family plan when checked on 15 September 2026, with single day and trip passes for occasional skiers.
Two smaller charges are easy to forget in the Ski amadé shop: the EUR 3.00 KeyCard deposit and the EUR 3.00 per day cancellation guarantee. Holders of an ALL-IN Card Gold or White from 24/25 or 25/26 get a loyalty bonus of EUR 100 for adults, EUR 50 for U25 and EUR 30 for youths and children on the 26/27 card.
Which mistakes cost skiers time in Ski amadé?
The first is treating one app as enough. The official app is strongest on network data across the 25 resorts, but its weather layer is a forecast like any other, and reviewers have criticised it on that point. Cross-check with bergfex, which pulls text forecasts from GeoSphere Austria and runs more than 5,000 webcams across the Alps.
The second is leaving ticketing to the morning of the first ski day. Prices rise as the season approaches, and the Minis ticket for children born in 2021 or later can only be issued at a lift office counter.
The third is assuming the network is one contiguous ski area. Ski amadé spans Salzburger Sportwelt, Schladming-Dachstein, Gastein, Hochkoenig and Grossarltal, and the ski bus, not a lift, connects most of them. Check bus times in the app before planning a resort hop.
